Me and Maggie
Maggie placed her paw on my head last night while I was lying on the couch watching TV. Kim thought it was cute and snapped a few pics.
Savannah and the Bee
Savannah is doing well. She's been working hard to do well on her spelling tests. I think she's gotten 100% on all of them. Here she is practicing her spelling words on the chalk board.
Savannah and Ricky have also been taking piano lessons. Savannah is catching on. She can play a complete song...I think Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.
Ricky is just starting out. Between Savannah, Ricky, and Danielle, the piano GGMa gave us is getting a work out.
Savannah attended a cheerleading camp today. She had a great time. Here she is with some of the older cheerleaders.
And with her certificate. Go big blue!!! Go Savannah!!!
Crazy Ricky
Ricky is still crazy as ever. He was playing in his room the other day and came out in a scary costume he fabricated himself. This costume comprised of his underwear on his head, a flashlight tucked between his underwear and his face, his robe, and his soccer jersey around his waist. It was very frightening. See for yourself.
I think we'll just send his costume back and have him wear that outfit for Halloween.
Okay, Ricky is actually mentally stable. He's been doing well in school and is reading very well. He's picking it up pretty quickly. He is also helping his teacher with teaching some of his classmates.
He was happy to get the yellow truck in the mail from his Nana & Papa.
Ricky just finished his first season of soccer. The season was short, about 5 weeks in length. There were a total of 6 teams in the 5/6 age group. There were eight kids on the team. They named themselves the Dragons. Come to find out more than half of the teams named themselves the Dragons. I'm sure his team was the first...they picked their name at the 1st practice. Anyway, they won 3, tied 1, and lost 1. Not a bad season. Ricky did very well in soccer. He scored a few goals in the games, including the last goal of the season. I hope he stays with it. I think he'll be a great player.
We have nothing but great things to say about his coach. He's like a god when it comes to soccer and dealing with children. I don't know what we would have done without him. I think Kim has a crush on the coach, but don't tell her I said anything. I noticed her checking him out on the field and glancing at his butt. Anyway, they had an end-of-season get together at the bowling alley today. The coach bought pizza and handed out their trophies. Here's a pic of Ricky and his coach.

Okay, the cat's out of the bag. I volunteered to coach at the last minute because they needed coaches to field two more teams. I attempted to coach by myself at the first practice, but soon realized I was in over my head; I have a new respect for teachers of young children. I asked a friend to be my assistant. This worked out much better and we had a successful run. I didn't take any pictures at the practices or games because I was a little occupied. I'll have to get pics from another friend and send more pics of the soccer season later.
Hiding...still
Danielle is still hiding from the camera. She promises me she won't do this once her braces are off. She should be having them removed on October 21st. We'll see if anything changes.
If you look closely, you can see an eye.
Broken Leg
Kylie broke her leg the first week in September. Her and Ricky were playing in the backyard on the swing set. They were climbing onto the swing set and then grabbing onto the nearby tree branch. They would hang there for a few seconds before dropping to the ground and repeating the process. It was Kylie's turn and she just landed the right way for her tibia (lower front leg bone) to break. We heard her crying and Ricky ran into the house yelling "emergency, emergency." We knew it was bad. The doc put the cast on and said it would be 4 to 6 weeks. Kylie picked the hot pink cast.
The first couple weeks were the hardest, but she's no longer experiencing pain. She started scooting around the house on her bottom, and now she's upgraded to walking on the cast. Kylie visited the doc on Friday for another x-ray. Looks like she's got 2 weeks to go.
Been Awhile
It's been awhile since I've posted anything in the blog. Been a busy month and a half or so and I can't very well post pictures without a camera. We fixed that problem and bought another camera. I'm armed with pics and ready to go. Are you ready?
