CAPPADOCIA
The whole family finally took a trip to Cappadocia, Turkey. Cappadocia is a region in central Turkey that lies between two dormant volcanoes which created the beauty within. A product of these volcanoes is the earth called "Tuff." Tuff is strong, but is easily carved when scraped with basic tools. This region is well known partly because the earliest Christians lived here and hid from the Romans in underground cities. There is much much more history than this, but this is what I recall most vividly.

Black Castle
I took Ricky and Savannah to Black Castle today. We caravan'ed with our neighbors and some friends. It was about a 30-40 minute drive.
After we climbed around the castle, we ate some lunch at the vehicles. Ricky found a turtle. It was a hit with the kids.
