Women's History Celebration

Arkadas (pronounced with a 'sh' at the end) Park, right around the corner from our house, is where they hold most, if not all, base functions and celebrations. For Women's History Month, they had horse rides, a dunk tank, jumping castles, food, and singing. Savannah was on stage and sang with the all girls choir.

Kim and Danielle enjoying the music. Uh, better make that Kim enjoying the music.
Horsey Rides for everybody....$1 each. Our house is just beyond the houses in the background.

In and Around Our Neighborhood

Shady Park...right across the street from our house.

Long stem rosebush in our front yard. We have 5 of them.

House (Inside)

The houses on base don't have carpet. They have an ugly hard tile floor. Fortunately we're in Turkey and carpet is very inexpensive. We got this brown 'no frills' carpet installed in the entire house.

Finally Getting Around To It!!!

Well we've been here for 29 days and we're finally getting around to creating a blog. It is much easier now that we have our own computer again. We haven't seen a whole lot of Turkey yet. We've spent most of our time trying to get settled...the kids in school, me at work, and the family in the house. We're getting there. I'm going to backtrack and show you pictures from the beginning...

Here's our house:

It is in a group of 4 townhouse style homes:

Here's our kitchen. It's much smaller than our last one.

And now from another angle.
